Tony Civitell of California is our Shop Friend Contest winner for March 2008 with his beautiful jade knife. Tony carved his knife with a Foredom tool and posted the instructions on the Rock Tumbling Hobby web site. "I need some protection during dives and what better to stab a white shark with nephrite jade, right?? I decided to ditch the grinder this time and try one useing a Foredom tool. I used different diamond bits, hand files and hard felt bobs for polishing. This way takes a lot longer and I have a lot more to learn on carving, but here is my first one."
