Covington Engineering's 8" complete trim saw (mod. 1508TS) is sold with power feed, 16" x 24" base, 1/3 HP motor, and hood. The hood is a clear molded plexiglas with roomy hand holes in each side to allow for free cutting movement. The hood fits inside the trim saw table edge and simply sets in place. No holes to drill. Dimensions for the unit are 28" x 18" x 15". This is a clean operating saw, ideal for trimming rocks, minerals and glass. Comes with a gold blade on all 8 & 10" units. The Bulldog grip vise holds all rock shapes and swings back out of the way for hand trimming. Cross feed slabs for 3 1/2". Just pull the vise back and set to scale to get the slab thickness you want. Hold down hook runs under tabletop so rock can't climb the blade or jam. Front shield protects operator from cutting waste. Arbor has 5/8" diameter steel shaft. Ball bearing assembly has grit slinger to protect precision bearings. Twin drains allow quick and easy cleaning of koolerant sump. Piggy back motor mounts directly on back tank casting. The complete unit rests on Lam-I-cusion base for quiet operation. Complete unit includes motor, Lam-I-Cushion base, power feed, and hood. Koolerant Kontrol virtually eliminates splash. A valve adjusts flow from reservoir into blade compartment to maintain proper level. Excess koolerant from cutting area is returned to the reservoir. Unit weighs 60 pounds shipped with motor intact. Hood shipped separately at 10 lbs.
If the unit is to be shipped overseas, a 220 Volt motor will be needed and an additional charge of $44.00 will be required.
