Fossilized horn coral from Utah will make beautiful unique gemstone cabochons. Lovely colors of pink to red may be found in the translucent agatized rough sold in one pound parcels of assorted sizes. The horn coral came from an old collection and is getting harder to find since the mine is now in a preserve and consequently is now closed. Examined horn coral up close and you will find the patterns may radiate from the center or have very small bullseyes or fortification patterns.
