One each of Knightia, a fossil fish, large size, from Fossil Lake, WY. (No. 20) There are five sizes of Knightia, from Eocene age, with each size determined by the length of the fish itself. Each fish is nicely cleaned or exposed on the cream-colored limestone matrix. The large size Knightia will be approximately 3 5/8" in length. Matrix varies from 2 3/4" wide up to 6" in lenght. Knightia was adopted as the Wyoming state fossil in 1987. The limestone plates of Knightia will be easy to display on a plate rack, or make a frame and hang on the wall.
