Painted Valley jasper is from Africa and the slabs will contain five square inches minimum.  The multicolored slabs contain, reddish brown, salmon, tan, black, etc. There may be a small amount of agate or translucent areas, so this material is referred to as a jasp/agate. The material is pretty solid, but a few fractures may be in a slab. The slab shown has more than 3 orders (15 sq. in.) Cat. #440s.
