Slabs of the picture rock, Painted Desert from OR are in a limited supply and well worth adding to your collection. This hard to find, high quality jasper was mined in the sixties in the Owyhee Mountains, OR and has been mined out for many years.  The blue green background with gold and tan colored scenic hills will make wonderful cabochons due to few if any fractures or vugs and wonderful patterns that a multitude of cabs can be made from any direction on the slab.  Shown in the photo of the Painted Desert picture rock is a slab containing four plus orders, (20 plus square inches), with a slab measurement of approximately 7" x 5".  Most slabs are large, but an order of one can be sent which will contain five square inches.
