Rough Brazil agate nodules, medium size, are sold by the pound with each nodule having an approximate weight of 4-7 pounds each. (Stock 111) The rough, outer rind is in sharp contrast to the multi-colors of bands or possible crystal centers found in the nodules when slabbed. These are full nodules. A few have been found with geode centers lined with amethyst centers. Brazil agate nodules have long been known for quality agate and will make wonderful cabs for jewelry, slab for suncatchers, bookends, or just polish for a wonderful specimen. No two alike.
