Golden rutilated quartz rough from India is a beautful stone with inclusions of golden rutile in milky colored quartz. (Stock 262) The rough rutilated quartz is considered specimen grade. Slabs have revealed some solid areas and also some fractures. As the quartz crystals grow, the glistening needles of rutile are entombed. The size of the rough will vary from one half pound to fifteen pounds or more and sells for $2.00 per pound.
