We are pleased to have this handy field item available again under new ownership, The Fundamental Rockhound. The lightweight 36" aluminum rod with a scoop on the end is terrific for rockhounds for checking out rocks or beachcombers picking up sea shells without having to bend over. The scoop has slots which will allow sand or water to filter out. The red handle of the Treasure Scoop makes it easy to find if mislaid. The Treasure Scoop was not designed to use as a hammer, pick, shovel or pry bar. Do not use in a lightning storm. It is also suggested to use a cord or a string attached to the Treasure Scoop and your wrist when using near fast moving water. It is very durable. We still have the one grandmother used for years. Nice mineral specimens are often found underneath bushes, and the Treasure Scoop will come in handy reaching for those specimens from a distance without having to put your hand in the way of a rattlesnake.
