The 42 inch length Treasure Scoop is a lightweight aluminum rod with cushioned handle and a scoop on the end. This handy field tool is for rockhounds or beachcombers for picking up rocks, seashells, etc. without having to bend over.  The 42 inch length is great for those in the six foot height range. A 36 Inch Treasure Scoop is also available. The Treasure Scoop has slots which will allow sand or water to filter out.  The red handle of the Treasure Scoop makes it easy to spot if midlaid.  Nice minerals are often found underneath overgrown bushes and are much easier to reach with the long reach of the scoop.  This will also keep your hand away from any rattlesnake not easily seen under a bush.  The 42 inch Treasure Scoop is made by The Fundamental Rockhound. They recommend not to use this tool for a hammer, pick, shovel, or pry bar and not to be used in a lightning storm or by by children. If using this tool around fast moving water, or at an ocean, it is recommended to use a cord or string and attach it to the wrist.
